This is a discussion based lesson plan and is suitable for a variety of higher-level students. Students review adverbs and modal verbs to express probability and certainty and have the opportunity to make predictions about the house of the future, technology, and their future lives. A reading passage about Bill Gates’s house of the future, talked about in his book in 1995, gives students the opportunity to contrast and discuss technology then and now.
