A capsule containing soil samples from an asteroid named Ryugu was dropped from 220,000 kilometers from space by Japan’s Hayabusa2 spacecraft.  It landed as planned in the Australian Outback on December 6, 2020.  It will be flown to Japan for research.  People in Japan took pride in the successful landing of the capsule.  Yuichi Tsuda of JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, called it a “treasure box”.
